Of Dreams and Destiny

Each star twinkles a secret light
over which it has no right
when the rays leave behind the source
Deep into darkness finding their course
What do they seek?
what is their feat?

What holds me down and what lets me free
the weight of my dreams, is the gravity
Am I hanging on, or am I holding still
the notion of needs is a fallacy

The beating heart in this life
is the aching heart
cutting into everything
a lumpy shard

just live
just be
who believes it, see?
(they all have dreams)
(they all have dreams)

chilled or grilled?

Those are the choices
we hear when we feel
letters on the brazen wall
And then they call it God willing destiny.
