Ode to the Unchanging Love

You asked me to be,
an ocean;
While I was created still,
as a mountain;
Unchanging;
Unconquerable;
You quietly disapproved;
I let the chains of rivers,
move,
through me;
Cutting my very being;
For no other purpose,
but your wish, saying,
“Now, would you love me?”
