Love Letter

I wrote of you;
One line of you,
in poetry,
and sent it,
tumbling,
twirling,
swirling,
on a paper plane;
You were buzzing,
with life,
like a tale;
Taking off…
and then fluttering;
Like the eyes of the deer,
caught in my headlights,
the night I made you into,
another poem;
Drove you with me,
on mountain roads;
I have tried to make shapes,
of your smile,
on wishing lanterns,
that I released into space;
Drowned in submarines,
through oceans,
of your nectar;

This is how I got so far without you…
And now, I am reaching for you with this letter.
