liquidayre:

Like dust she spreads
Settles
Covers every inch of me
So long as I lay still
Were I to move
She would swirl
Inhalation
As she wraps around my lungs
And I splutter
Alive through dispersed gasps
Released
So long as I lay
Still

And as we lay
covered
in dust,
collecting particles
suspended so long in the air,
softly landing
on our dormant love,
every inch
carefully coated,
first the shine
from the eyes,
then through the nose
inhaled
with our breath,
encrusting the heart,
enveloping our stillness,
settling,
one flake at a time
filtered,
timeless swirl
under the dimming light.
